A word about old Charlie Brown’s in Toms River, New Jersey?

I originally covered this story over a year ago while traveling through Toms River in the Hooper Avenue and Church Road area. The former site of the popular Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill. It has been closed for over a year and I haven’t heard a word about anything new coming to space.

A lot of people adored Charlie Brown and we will miss it, but that brings us to the question of what could be the next step? This is prime real estate along the busy Hooper Avenue in Toms River. I wonder how many cars pass this location in a 24 hour period?

Since the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen many changes in our business landscape, not only here in Ocean County, but across the state and also across the country. It will be interesting to see what ends up dominating the business scene in the months and years to come. Will it be giant chain stores and fast food restaurants? Will local “Mom & Pop” stores make a comeback or will we see an increase in “invisible” business, that is, online shopping… What do you think?

Now back to this place, what do you think would be a good fit for this now empty spot on this busy road in Toms River Township? Let us know your thoughts.
