Amal Clooney steps out in a leopard jacket and beyond thigh high boots
Amal Clooney traveled to New York for a UN conference last Wednesday and stayed in the city for some visiting time afterward. Upon returning to her hotel on Friday, Amal wore black Christian Louboutin leather thigh high boots with red accents around the heels. She teamed the trendy shoes with a leopard print coat with brown leather pockets over a gray turtleneck mini dress and sheer black tights.
She let her long brunette locks hang loose and accessorized with a black handbag with a long strap looped over her shoulder, large dark sunglasses and delicate jewelry, including small gold hoops and a few silver rings. Her makeup was rosy and natural with a pink lip.
Amal, who is married to actor George Clooney, was spending time in the city with her mother, Baria Alamuddin. Amal is a lawyer specializing in international law and human rights. While addressing the United Nations Security Council at an informal meeting this week, she reportedly spoke of war crimes that could take place in Ukraine as Russian forces invade the country.
“Here we are faced with evidence of crimes of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and daily growing evidence of the crime of genocide,” she told diplomats and politicians gathered there. Amal expressed her fear that these alleged crimes could be “stored up” for years if not quickly dealt with, and she called Ukraine a “slaughterhouse” in the “heart of Europe”.
“What worries me as I sit here today is that the resolute action we have seen in the first 50 days of this war will prove to be the culmination rather than the starting point of the legal and diplomatic response,” she said.
