Meghan Markle wears chic camel coat for New York reunion

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan continue their tour of New York.

After their visit with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Kathy Hochul at One World Observatory this morning, the Sussexes would have sat down with Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, for a private visit to her apartment. The royal couple’s meeting with Thomas-Greenfield is part of their itinerary as official co-chairs of Global Citizen Live, the vaccine equity fundraising event taking place in Central Park this Saturday. According to Thomas-Greenfield, the trio discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, racial justice and the importance of mental health.

For the visit, Meghan switched from her dark-hued Emporio Armani wool coat from this morning to one of her wardrobe staples: a camel-colored wool overcoat (style is also a must-have for the beautiful- Meghan’s royal sister, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge). Meghan teamed the look with a black knit turtleneck from the New York label Line and a matching pencil skirt, accessorized with a beige leather handbag from Valextra and pointed toe pumps courtesy of Aquazzura. Meghan also wore the classic coat for weeks before announcing her joint decision, with Harry, to step down as a member of the Royal Family last year.

The Sussexes are expected to stay in New York all weekend. The couple will make their first major joint appearance since leaving royal life at Saturday’s Global Citizen Live event. Harry and Meghan have both been strong advocates for global vaccine fairness during the COVID-19 pandemic and have raised millions of dollars to help get those most in need around the world vaccinated.
